Hi

I have a third-party app which will be launched with command parameters from an Opus pub. Since the third-party app has some interface settings which end-users may change if the app runs as a visible interface, I am trying to figure out if there is any way to run that app's window as invisible (ie launch and simultaneously hide it.

The command parameters allow for using all needed features in the app, including closing it, without the need for the interface. Even permits minimized to tray, which would allow it to run minimized and not be visible if the Opus pub is run in kiosk mode (grabbing the whole screen with border). Except, when the launch file is employed, and minimize command is used, the app interface flashes momentarily on screen before minimizing to the tray (or if kiosk mode, disappearing).

Is there any way to cause the app to launch and remain invisible totally?

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Kind Regards,

A bit of information, but no help----there was a bit of discussion on this befoe, but relating to applications created in C# viewtopic.php?t=2578&highlight=command+window+hide so no real help to you.
I had the same problem with a third party application and I looked at some utilities which hid windows in the background, but they tend to set Virus checker alarm bells ringing if one application starts another with a hidden window, so I didn't go down that route.

Fortunately for me the application I eventually used had an option to start minimised and it did this completely invisible in Opus.

Thanks Sandy.

It wouldn't be helpful for the virus bells to be set off.

Kind Regards,
