Hi everybody,

Has anyone experienced trouble with his ODBC connection to Access 2000/2003 databases after having migrated to Vista + Opus V6?

Has anyone suffered for hours and finally found a solution to make it work again?... with Opus V6 and Vista? (I am still at the suffering stage)

Best Regards, Winfried

I had a problem and fixed it by downloading the database driver from the Microsoft website.
In the end I stopped using it as it would have resulted in my end users having to do the same.
The same also applies to access 07 - the file is over 20megs.
I think it's best to use the drivers that come as standard at the moment - which is a shame as access 07 has improved security.

I'm not sure exactly what your problem is though as databases can be difficult :)

Thank you for this answer, jezjones29.
I make a pragmatic step back to previous Opus version and to Access 2003 running Windows XP on another older computer. My Opus+Access publications compile and run perfectly on Vista. I unfortunately have no time (and no talent) to debug Opus 6 x Vista x odbc x security problems. I just hope that some genius will find a way... one day... maybe with Digitalworkshop help... who knows?
