Hi

I've been experimenting with scripting the new v6 drawing functions and wondered if anyone has thought of a way for the user to save the drawings once completed. This would allow re-opening of the drawing so the user could work on it more, make changes, additions.

It doesn't appear that using scripts like GetDisplayCharacteristics() and GetObjectDimensions() won't work, since these will only reproduce the frame in which the drawing is done, not the drawings themselves.

An alternative in my pub, would be to create an off-screen line (-50, -50) and using GetMousePosition, get and store the edge's of vector objects in a diagram, then clone the line to extend between the 2 vectors to serve as a connector. Problem here is that while you can script to get object dimensions which include the top, bottom, left and right of a line, there is no comparable script function for setting a clone (or any object) with these dimensions, only the center pos X and Y.

I am hoping someone can suggest a work-a-round. The only ideas I can come up with are scripting some complex maths with trig, that are way beyond my skills and abilities.

Kind Regards,
