There is no internal sound recording facility in Opus 6.

Have a look here
viewtopic.php?t=2951&highlight=sound+recording+dll

An option is to find a sound recording DLL :-) I had a look at that, but didn't follow it up and I can't remember how far I got with it. Using a DLL is 'internal'. I will look and see if I can find the test program I used.

Another option is launching a file, but you don't want to do that. You could look for a sound recorder with command line capability which could run in the background.

Sound recording would be an excellent facility to have in Opus , but that's really what the DLL capability is for. It enables Opus to integrate all kinds of other capabilities without having them built in.

I have the sound capture command line working, but just the basic recorder.
I used sound capture from http://www.snapfiles.com/get/soundcapture.html.
I used the launch file action with the following parameters

Launch this file................ SoundCapture.exe

with option parameters........./ -m -length 5 c:\capture.mp3

this will record for 5 min and save the file to the C drive.
As I said above, this just basic recording. I will have to figure out how to add stop/start controls....if possible??.
Note you need the Lame _enc.dll to encode the MP3.

I'm not sure if this will produce a usabel recorder, but worth investigating.

The other option I looked at in the past was a DLL called Bass. I started investigating it, but got sidetracked to other things :-)
