im trying to save a picture from the program to where ever the user wants it, i want to do this by clicking a button so that it brings up a save as browser.

its like when people download a file and choose a place to save it to.

Me and the teacher have both tried to set one up but cant seem to do it.

Hi Bubbles,

Welcome to the forum. You'd probably be better of posting in the Presenter section as this is for advanced Opus questions.

I've created a quick example in Opus, but I think it should load. You don't specify where the image is stored. For the purpose of this example, I've added the image as an additional resource, but you could do it other ways.

Mack

Excellent!

To make this perfect for me, how would you make it so the filename is already filled in rather than letting the user specify a filename?

Thank

:)

simply set the value used for the path lookup to the file name. Either do this in the variables box or add and action before calling the browser.

Mack :-)

Hi,

I hate to trouble you with this, but could you be specific where to put the filename please, I can't see where to add this option based on the bubbles example above. Which is a shame as I feel i'm so close.

Is it at all possible to post an example if you have a spare moment please?

Regards

As I understand it.You need the saveas to be filled when the user click on the save button> If this what you want then no need for the saveas in the action.Right click on the save button and choose action. Then tab to Actions. You'll find two actions :
Save as Browse
CopyFile
delete Save as browse and double click on copyfile

on the right side change To this location either by writing the path or choosing browse and locate the location.
If this is NOT what are you looking for. Please explain in details,so I can help you.
