Hi, I have downloaded the new version 6.4 and tried to re-render a previous flex publication to fix the issue with Flash 10 and everytime I am trying to publish an error message is telling me that an error has been encounter while rendering and I have to republish again.
I have done so many times and still I am getting the same error.
I suppose that in this version the issue with the preloader but this message is telling me that still the same issue persist.
I even have uninstalled the application, delete folders, delete registry keys, re-start and install again and STILL the same crazy message! Only telling me that an error has ocurred without telling me what kind of error or any other information for that matter....
Your help will be appreciated!

Pleased you brought this up, German. I agree with you - there DOES seem to be a problem when it comes to publishing Flex programs with Opus 6.4. In my own case, I built a simple Flex publication (one chapter, one page) with 6.4 and this published perfectly. When I spread the content over two pages, with a GoTo Page action in the middle, I repeatedly got an error message during the publish process. As you report, all the message says is "There has been an error", which is not very helpful.

Opus: V9.6 Pro
OS: Win 7 64 bit
System: Apple Macbook Pro 'Bootcamped' with Win 7 Pro 64 bit
I had to republish our website (http://www.burnageassociatesltd.co.uk - a single Flex file) with Opus Pro 6.4 because of the Flash 10 problem. However, I just took the original .imp file and republished it - it compiled correctly first time. The Flex file has a number of pages with a lot of GOTO's and links to external web sites.

Sorry to muddy the water by saying that it works... :?

Thanks for that, Peter! Just when I thought that a malfunction was not the result of my ineptitude, you offer a counter experience. I would have suggested that .imp files produced with previous versions of Opus may be OK (rather than programs built with 6.4), but German's post contradicts this. Guess I should now send the .imp to DW so that they can take a look at it.

I have been using 6.4 without issue for the past few weeks. I tried to replicate Roger's problem by creating a Flex file with a couple of linked pages, but it published without a hitch.

I created a different pub with different name and move all the pages from my old pub to the new one and re-rendered the publication and it worked without hassles.

I have tried other flex pub done BEFORE the change to 6.4 and the same problems surfaced (error message and all that) but at soon as I create a new pub with different name and repeat what I did above, it worked! so I am assuming at this point in time that flex pubs need to be re-done using different name as a pub in order to render without glitch.

This is fine is the pub is small but a real headache if contains a few dozen pages. But again, Flash only let you create 16000 frames movie anyway.

FYI the particular pub which was giving me problems appears to be a rogue. I've had no difficulty publishing other projects in Flex with 6.4.
