Is it possible to switch from 1 opus publication type to another i.e. say I start off in an opus professional publication is it possible for me to switch that project over to a Opus Flex publication?

If its not possible to switch can I import the content from 1 publication (opus professional) to Opus Flex so that I don't have to re-create everything again?

Yes you can switch easily but right clicking on the publication, selecting properties and then the type tab.

But switch means that you won't get the same initial set-up that you might have if you choose a specific type to start. For example switching from a normal publication to scorm will mean that you miss necessary scripts and would have to add them manually.

Additionally, certain types are more restrictive than others - so something created in a normal publication might not work in a Flex publication. By selecting the Flex type first Opus will limited the feature set to start.

Yes you can switch between "type of publications" BUT you need to read the manual to find out what features are not going to be able to work anymore by switching the type of publication.
Cheers
