I have a strange problem with a variable that looses text.
I made a button to load a file, and the name of the loaded file will be displayed in a variable. So far no problem, but when i press the load button, the open dialog pops up and when i choose cancel instead of a file the variable is empty. Nothing strange because i didn't pick a file. But when i try to load an other file then the loading goes good, but the text var stays blank.
I also tried to reset the variable etc. The only thing that helps is to start the application again.

What can be the problem?

How?

More details if using TextInput object. e.g., what properties and settings?

You also do not say if using Page var... persistent/non-persistent. Etc, etc. those things matter.

This is because Opus returns a null / blank to your variable. It can be as useful as it is a pain.

The solution is to read the contents in to a tmp variable first and write it back if null / blank after the file browse action.

I thought i solved the problem but i still have the same problem when i break up an "open file" action.
What id did is:
Open file and store result in var LOAD1 (use it as a temp var) If LOAD1 is empty do nothing,
if LOAD1 contains data then set a delay of 0.3 sec. then set var LOAD1 to READ1 (the target var) but the problem stays.
How do i have to make a temp var in this case?

Post your code. Eliminate guesswork.
