How can I get a text box within a publication to display the 'Publication Registration Code' so that it can be quoted back for the generation of the Unlock code?

You need the GetPublicationKey() function.

Either pass this to a variable and display that or simply add as Constant Expression (see example). The first method is probably better.

You should see a screen shot when logged in. I didn't post an imp because you have no Opus version listed.

If you copy the value of GetPublicationKey() to a variable, rather than display it as Constant Expression, then you can add a button and use the copy 'variable to clipboard' action.

Any chance of an imp? I am out of my very shallow depth.

You do know that Opus has it's own activation system dialogue boxes?

See attached.

Yes I know the activation system dialogue boxes well, having been around since the Illuminatus days, (but manged to avoid learning much script and variables). The sample activation in ver7 kept me head scratching for days.

Our target market has only basic English so they find the standard activation terminology confusing (so do I) and as being able to edit the activation dialogue text is still on the wish list we need to keep things simple and inside the publication.

Thanks for your help Mack, it was much appreciated - come to Australia sometime and I can repay the favour.
