Opus seems to not recognize ';' and '#' characters as delimiter to start a Comment in an INI File. I am actually happy that I can use a semi-colon as part of an INI value.

However, does anyone know what counts as a comment then?

TIA

Use the script Luke.

if (myINIRead.charAt(0) == ";")
{
ignoreComment()
} else
{
processLine()
}

If Opus doesn't respond to ';' and it's not in the help, then it seems fair to assume that Opus INI doesn't support comments but given the Opus Force, it's not really necessary :-)

Thanks Mack. Good answer... or rather, one I like. Will not need comments, but didn't want unexpected results.

Thx again for the idea: scriptsword to manually control any lines. Good to have in the back pocket.

Cheers.
