Macks suggestion of 'this' ...I already tried that....or this, but it didn't work, but according to the documentation it should, so I need to do some more experimentation.

The almighty this has failed - the end is nigh.

Adding event handles dynamically does work - done it before BUT I cannot quite get my head around what your trying to achieve. I envisage this:

1. Add objects to page
2. Mouse down triggers function
3. object follows mouse (like snake) while down

Where does the event handler enter play? Can you send me an example?

Mack

Sandy,

This (pun intended) may help with your task of dynamically implementing RegisterEventHandler().

The sample Pub does not directly implement any iPod type of action/interface, but is more fundamental and shows how RegisterEventHandler() may be used in a way that 'detects' any of several multiple objects for the initial Triggering.

I've posted it over in Tutorials since it is a fairly general topic.
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4093

It may get you started on developing iPod-style interface.

Cheers.

Thanks Lar,
That's an interesting example. I'll have a look through it and see what I can pinch :-)...
I don't have any serious applications for event handlers just now, it was just a "I wonder if Opus can....." moment when I was playing with a multi-touch monitor. I wondered if I could reproduce the flick actions of win 7 multitouch and image manipulation. I used event handlers before but had some problems when I published, but I actually spent some time reading the help files and I realised that mouse parameters are automatically fed into the event function....which is pretty cool, so I need to go back to my pub and do some changes to see if caused the problems I had.
Sandy
