Is it possible to change the speed of a droped object thats returning to it's original positon.

I think there is no direct way to change the speed for that motion. I think there are several ways to attack the problem though. Which alternative to pursue depends on whether you need this for just one object dropped, or a few objects, or will there be many Droppable-objects and several Drop-zones... etc.

You have more options if it is one or two objects and the User actions are predictable.
Even if many variations are to be handled, it can be done but is more complicated (for example, either using Clones for one method... or for a different approach, putting a Drag&Drop trigger on another larger Drop-zone and moving the dropped object manually.)

As Lar says, nothing built in but it should be quite straightforward to implement this.

Just turn of return to original position if not dropped; add a mouse down action that gets the object position and store this. I'd use OOP - IE attach the value as a property of the clicked object; add a mouse click action that performs the check.

You could probably combine a drop trigger with the last mouse click action to simulate the built-in successful drop check. Then you simply return to the stored position if not successful at whatever speed you like.

Hi Mac,

What i did was turning off the return and tell the object to go back to a certain coordinate.
But the zone where the object was droped still thinks that the object is still there. I also use
the option to drop just one object at once on that dropzone. Do you have an example?

I'd say script the drops but this is quite involved and as the the whole D&D thing works differently depending on what your publication is trying to achieve its probably best to post an example and somebody will take a look and offer the best solution.

Hi Mac,

I think i soved the problem. I did not use the action on the drag and drop but i use the collision trigger.
For the drop i use the dropzone so that it looks good, and for the release i use a script that brings the
object to the right place in the right time.
