Opus: 7.04
OS: Windows 7
System: core 2 duo, 2gb, 500gb DH , ATI RADEON HD 3650 1gb
I have a problem with the publication opus flex in my case I'm willing to make websites with the opus..

but the files sfw are getting too big because of the images, but I thought of a way to let small SWF archive, pulling images from an external location, with variable SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR , when I run the program in OPUS it works perfectly, showing where this the publication, but when I publish and run the generated file does not show the place of publication.

if someone have this problem or know a way to solve this problem I thank you very much

follows the file to test the variables of the system, run on opus and publish and run to see.

thx and sorry for the bad english^^

Hi Gustavo,

No the variable won't work - and preview is not for flex. I suggest you start by reading the help files as there are several sections specifically for flex or just type flex into the search box above - it will return with all the known issues, and possible solutions when working with Flex including the two you posted.

Regards,

Mack

Probably a question for Digital Workshop, but nothing jumps out at me as possible to do this in Opus. It takes SWFs as video files, but these will not pull in dynamic content as far as I'm aware OR it loads SWFs as ActiveX Objects which might do what you want, but I don't believe this can be used in a Flex publication. It does state in the help that you should aim to use vectors, rather than bitmaps, which suggests that it's not designed for what you want.

Ideally, access to BLOBs from mySQL would be wonderful for both Flex, Plexus and Standalone publications - but one can only dream or write it in Flash / HTML5.
