I like to make a fade out function on my audioplayer

This is de stop script i use:

audio_player.pause();
audio_player.currentTime = 0;

i found several volume scripts but they all use sliders or buttons to change volume
and i like to set a standard fade out on the stop action.

The audio element has a volume method. You'd have to create a loop over time and decrease the volume on each iteration for fade out.

You maybe able to use Opus with the delay action. If not the look at JS SetTimer to create a recursive that breaks when the volume is zero.
