Hi,
I would like to make an Android App but don't know how to export, install and run the thing.
I made a test app and exported it as an HTML5 pub to test it.
It would be very helpful if there was a tutorial on Youtube that tells you step by step how to create
an Android App with Opus Pro.

If it's not on Youtube, is there somewhere else a step by step explanation.
Kind Regards,

Ad Mulders

Have you managed to export the project as an APK yet rather than the HTML5?

Yes i did, but when i connect an Android phone to my computer nothing happens except a question if i want to use the phone as a separate memory source.

I tend to upload them to our site and then download them to the device I'm testing on but I believe you need to enable the device as MTP (Media) for local connections - try this site:

Once the APK is on the device, you'll need to enable side loading - read the relevant section:

Hope that helps.

Make sure you turn it off again once you've finished unless you're sure you'll never accidentally install something you don't want from an unknown source.

About the App making tutorial, I'm up for it, I just don't think there are that many users interested.

I saw an interest magazine full of tutorials for the Scratch language in WHSmith's the other day. Did think at the time that it would be useful for Opus HTML5 to have something like that for newbies and education. I quite often have to write such things to accompany projects - a lot of people find a good step-by-step illustrated guide a great way to tackle new or complex topics.

I use Dropbox to test on Android. Just drag the APK into the dropbox folder on the PC, then run the Dropbox app on the phone/tablet and the APK magically appears and just tap it to install. Simples.

Mack

I would certainly welcome some step-by-step instructions on how to make Android apps with Opus. I tend to read the Opus Help files first then search the forum at present to see if there are any example publications that may resolve any queries I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated. How about using the tutorial section of the forum?

Paul

PS: Thank you for all the help you have given us over the years. I'm sure that many Opus users would have struggled without you very generous help. :D

My problem with reading the information is that English is not my mother language.
Reading and understanding is much more difficult then listen en see how it works.
