Hello Everyone,

I want to point out that I'm not the best programmer :( , so this problem might be easy for someone more experienced.

In my Opus Flex course, I currently have it set up to where the audio on my slide will play once. Upon revisiting that slide, there will be no audio, which is the way I have it now and it works perfectly. I'm using a page variable to control how the audio is playing.

At the end of my Opus Flex course, the user takes a test. If they fail the test, they have to retake the course again. This is when I need to the audio to play once more like it has been "reset" so to speak with the "play once" rule still in effect.

Any ideas on how to make this work?

Hi...
I have VERY limited experience with flex but may I suggest that right at the start of the project,
you could simply reset the variable.

So as the project progresses, the rule will remain the same...but when it comes time to take the test,
if the project has the ability to got back and (start at the first page ) again, you have an opportunity to " reset the variable ".

Then as the student DOES the test - it should play, but again...only the once because the same rule will still apply.

START-------------( play once )-------------------TEST

RESET < ------------ -----------------<--------------|

Hope this helps.... :)

Thanks for the reply Viper4054!

That was one of the first things I tried, but it didn't work for me for some reason. :( And I selected it to only reset page variables.

The page variables I'm using have a value that is persistent even when visiting another page, I'm not sure if that means anything.

Hi,

I'm wondering, if you make the audio variable a publication variable instead of a page variable, and then if the user fails the test, reset it (to false?) on that test page, before navigating to the beginning of the course, maybe it will work as needed?

Worth a try.

If that doesn't work, could you post an IMP (cut it down to 2 or a few relevant sample pages, if you don't want to post all of it)? That way, people on the forum may be better able to help.

Best Wishes,
