I have a publication from which I want my students to print the worksheets. I set an action to Launch File for the required PDF and told Opus that the file would reside in the SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR .

The problem comes about when I publish the publication. The finished publication will not open the all the documents that are included in the publication. There are 7 PDFs associated with the publication - 4 of them will open when the user clicks the button, but 3 won't. When I troubleshoot the problem I see that the files that don't open have had a "http://" inserted in front of the file name (it wasn't there before). This appears to have happened during the publish procedure.

Any ideas of what is going on here?

Thanks,
Hugh

Can you upload a screen shot the working / not working action dialogues?

In checking around my files and thinking about my old DOS days I recalled that it's not a good idea to put a period into filenames. The worksheets (PDFs) that were not opening all had a period in their filename i.e. Gr. 9 Unit 1B . I changed it to Gr 9 Unit 1B and all works well. Woo Hoo! Who knew?
