 Post subject: Search within a text file

Hi

I'm looking for a way to do a search within a text file of about 9000 place names, preferably with the results appearing as you type, like you see on travel ticket booking websites etc. The more letters you enter the closer the match, with the 'clickable' results shown below. The selected result then needs to be copied to a variable.

This is for a Windows exe publication

Any pointers would be very much appreciated

I don't think you can search text file - you'd have to read it all into an array and loop through that.

However, it sound like something you might want to look at using a database for with an SQL query.
