I need to add graphics to my publication and change colors on them. I would really like to add them as vector graphics so that I can manipulate the paths and create hotspots. Please let me know if you have tried the same.

Thank you for your enquiry.

You can import images in WMF and EMF format as vector objects by clicking Draw > Import Vector.

The images should now be imported with polygons, polylines and nodes intact and fill/line colours can be adjusted using the dedicated Set Polygon Fill Colour and Set Polygon Line Colour actions.

Obviously you can also create your own vectors in the Opus editor, plus have gradient fills as well.

Once you have created your finished vector, you can also export it and save it as an ILV file for later use. You can even 'render' it as a bitmap. (right-click on the vector and you will see the render option)

Re: Hotspots on paths...
Hotspots are independent (with total control) and can be used anywhere on the page, or on a vector or path. There is a dedicated "Hotspot" tool on the Toolbar, which will create a hotspot which is visible in the editor, but is actually invisible when previewed (or in your publication).
