Hi,

Another question I'm afraid.

The project I am working on at the moment is for a display at a career fair. The publication consists of 2 parts, firstly an interactive section allowing kids to do stuff, quizzes, build a skeleton etc, and secondly a 10 page continuous loop about Radiography as a profession.

This loop I would like to act as a screen saver almost, i.e. if there is no activity on the activity screens for a set amount of time it will automatically start running, until someone touches the mouse.

So I would like to put an action on each of the screen saver pages that directs the user to the activities pages if the mouse moves. There is a mouse move trigger, but I find that it triggers immediately every time whether the mouse moves or not. This could possibly to be to do with my laser mouse being too sensitive I suppose, but it happens even with the mouse upside down. If anyone has any ideas to get it working I'd be very grateful.

It is not a huge problem as I have each page to redirect on left click which works, but isn't as elegant.

Thanks in advance

RB

My first thought was to build TWO Publications:

1) Interactive Pub. Create a last Page which has a Black Background and a Trigger of "On Show" with an Action of Launch Publication Loop. Then go to "Edit -> Publication -> Options" and tick "Reset". Set the time to a reasonable amount of inactivity. This Page can't be accessed from the other Pages. I'm suggesting Black, so the presentation would go to black for a moment in between Pubs. Make it whatever color (colour) you want.

2) Loop Pub. Create a Master Page with an Initially Hidden Frame that has Trigger of "Mouse Move." Have the Frame appear after 1 second. This will give you a chance to run the Page without the Mouse Move kicking in immediately. Have an Action of Launching the Interactive Pub. Use this Master Page for every Loop Page.

I know it's a script in the basic section, but it does solve the problem :-)

Thanks guys for the help, when I get back on my home computer I'll look into both those. I haven't yet dared move into the scary world of Scripting!
