Hello All,

I'm a new user to the software and have Illuminatus Opus version 2.81

I've created a splash screen to launch the many, many training presentations in powerpoint format from an autorun CD.

However, I can't seem to get the pptviewer (installed on the CD) to "see" the presentations files.

The only way to get the viewer to launch the files is to specify the exact file location either on my hard disk, or on the CD (obviously, different machines have different drive letters)

How can i set the current directory so that the viewer looks in the same folder for the files?

The <system_cd_drive> variable doesn't seem to help!

Thanks!

Hi James,

It's been a long time since I've used that version BUT there 'might' be a variable called SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR that relates to the directory where the publication is stored.

If this exists you can use that (and add subfolders) to launch the PPS.

Hi James,
I noticed you have the <system_cd_drive> as lower case. I guess you have just typed this as lower case in the post. If you used this in the pub, you would get an error, it should be upper case.....just checking

there are other things which might prevent this from working are you using script, if so you would have to concatenate the SYSTEM_CD_DRIVE and the file name, then you might have to escape the backslash ' \' '\\'

Depends how you have done it.

................................you aren't "THE" James Taylor are you??........just checking :-)

Sandy
