Maybe stupid question...
As download my pub user can see a text made new font, which it had not installed?
Do make sure to install the font in the pub of the directory /windows/fonts/ and reboot the computer?

Hi Volgar,
There are no stupid questions!!
I don't quite understand what the problem is, but this may help you.

When you publish, you can select to embed any fonts used in the publication. When you publish, the first option box selects which type of publication, second box is location of the publication, third box has a SETTINGS button. Select this and you will see four tabs. Select the FONTS and you will see the option to enable Font Embedding.

Hi Volgar

My comments aren't aimed at your current post.

I notice that you are using version 5.5 of Opus. That is a stable version, but version 6 adds several extras which you might find make your development work easier.

I don't normally promote new versions of Opus, preferring to let users make up their own minds. However, I've been following your posts, and believe that there are new features in v6 that might interest you.

If you can afford the upgrade to v6, you might like to consider doing so.

Hi Sandy.

When my friends tested my pub, they were not able to see the text wiht fonts that it have not been installed.
I tried to do as you are told, changed settings, but nothing helps.
The fact is that the option to enable Font Embedding may only incorporate the font DESCRIPTION into the pub, but does NOT INSTALL fonts in the user win system and therefore not visible.

Hi Sentosa, I plan to do it soon.

Probably will have to use the free windows installer, like the InstallShield.

Volgar,

That's correct, Opus does not install the fonts used by your program on other's computers.

However, if the font can be embedded you can select embed and publish an exe that other can read/see with the font you used in the Opus editor.
===================================================

I tested embedding a font in Opus 5.5 and it worked as it should.

First I installed a font and created a pub using the installed font for the title and in a text box with a scrollbar.

Next I published as usual and selected the settings under the Fonts tab.

When I published Opus showed that it was compressing and embedding the font I had used.

I deleted the font from the Windows\Fonts folder and rebooted. I ran the finished publication's exe file the embedded font showed as expected.

It work with and without "Enable Text Rendering" selected.
