When I previously made a screensaver in 2.81, I seem to remember that the title appeared in the 'Display Properties' box - (rt. click on Desktop, - properties - screensaver) - and it would be listed there.

With 4.3 the title it does not appear, even though I've ticked every box I could find. So, it cannot be selected or come on automatically, like a screensaver should.

What have I not done correctly?

Glenn :(

Hi Glenn,

It seems like the 04.30 Distribution Wizard is not copying over the file to the target directory. I see for a split second on the install dialog: "extracting 00000000.DAT" -- and this file resides in the target directory.
04.21 is working correctly. In 04.30 there is a change in the DWSetup.exe file, and a minor change in the player.ini file.

We have tested the screensaver and distribution wizard here and everything seems fine. Make sure you have the final (current) version of 04.30, not any of the test versions (though this should not affect Glenn) which had a problem with the set-up.

There are changes to the distribution wizard in 04.30 which now internally renames files (which is why you will see a 0000....dat name for each file) and then changes the names back when it has completed. This is to resolve an issue with identically named files within the same distribution causing problems.

Hi Glenn,

Do you have any problems with the Distribution Wizard in Opus 04.30 with normal publications or EXE files? In regards to your screensaver not listing, can you see if a file "00000000.DAT" resides on your system?

Yes when I click on the setup
( in my case New_Forest_Screensaver_Setup.exe) I go into 'Publication Installation', then 'Select Destination and 'Installation' the files rapidly extracted go from 00000090 something down to 00000000.dat

Doing it a few times shows that Norton will sometimes interupt the process to scan DWT1C9.tmp file, but not always.

I am using 04 plus 1-3 SRs.

Problem over! the screensaver has now decided to work. I don't know how or why but on publishing a second screensaver which did enter the Screensaver desktop list, I re-published the original screensaver (having done it many times before without success) and it entered the list.

Hopefully the problem was intermittant ( which are the worse faults ) and everything will be OK.

Many thanks to Steve in Oz. :)
