I am writing a presentation in Opus Creator that uses a number of video clips. First an intial clip runs and once this has finished it loads a second clip that loops; then when the user clicks the mouse the second clip finishes before running the third clip. All this works perfectly, after about 10 hours of fiddling!!. Problem now is that between the clips the screen flashes white for a fraction of a second rather than seemlessly going from one clip to the next. How could I get the transition to be seemless?? :?:

Do you have three Video Objects on one Page? The first Video Object must have an Action of "Synch to End of Video_1" with a Play Video_2 which is set to play continuously, right? Then do you have a Button Object to get to the third Video Object? How does OPUS know when Video_2 is finished playing since it's set for "Continuously?" Do you have all Video Objects set for "Display only when playing" and "Start Automatically?" How about your setting for "Rest when end is reached?" Have you set all Video Objects to "Fixed" and are you using "Chroma Key" rather than "On Top"? Are you using any Show and Hides?

I would probably have used a single Video Object with a Variable where the File Name is normally placed. There are additional steps necessary when using this technique, but you couldn't have multiple videos playing at once, or any lag between videos that way.

Give us specific details of what you have done.

Thanks for your replies. I started off with all three video clips on one page but that seemed to cause all sorts of problems for Opus because it was trying to resize the clips (they are of course identical sizes). It caused jumping around the screen between clips. It was also struggling because I had set the default screen on the project settings as resizable by Opus, once I got rid of this and forced it to 800x600 it was much better, but still would not let the looping clip 2 complete. So what I did was create 3 pages one for each clip, now when I click the mouse on the second clip it does run to the end before loading clip 3. I now have everything working perfectly except for the flicker between clips. I cannot use Chromakey as I am using Vista and this causes a lock up. I also cannot use Rendered for the same reason. Any further help greatly appreciated.

One simple question, when you have a continuous repeating clip does Opus reset the synch end flag everytime the video begins or what does it do??

Thanks for the help given by this group and direct from Opus. Solution to the problem was a combination of ideas. Have now converted video to mpg, set to rendered, thsi gives a seamless link between clips. Also got second clip to loop until mouse clicked but to finish loop before going on to next. Did this by setting a variable for the mouse click and then testing the var using an if with the else being to rerun the clip. Thought I would never get there impressed with software that I did in the end.
