Had a weird problem which may not be unique to Opus. Wrote a presentation using movies. Tested on my laptop after publication and all worked fine. Plugged in projector and used dual display, movie showed on laptop but black rectangle on projector. Switched to display only on projector and movies did show. Tried two different projectors both had same problem. Does anyone know why??

Using Vista SP1.

It's not just you. That is a standard problem when hooking a laptop to a projector. It is a limitation of the video card capabilities. Just not enough umph to drive moving video to both displays at the same time.

Do a little searching will turn up many instances of this problem.

Not sure if a driver update might solve your problem, or just resign yourself to not seeing the video on the laptop screen if you have it output to the projector.

Up market models should work ok.
2Ghz + core 2 duo, no shared video ram and preferably 512Mb of dedicated video ram, especially if you are using Vista.
Expensive though.

In my experience -
our laptops at work cannot show the video on the screen and the projector simutaneously. We have to scroll through the Fn/F5 or Fn/F8 options until the laptop monitor turns off, then the video appears in the projected image.
Hope this helps
