I have the following observations about the 'Lock-out' feature applied to an object.

1. if you apply 'Lock-out' to a Textbox object that is not grouped or is not in a frame, then 'Lock-out' seems to work well as I would guess it is intended to work.
The Right-Click menu allows you to check/uncheck the setting.
And the object remains visible in the Organizer tree.

2. However that if you apply 'Lock-out' to a Text Object in a Frame or within a Group,
you cannot get to the Right-click menu to toggle 'Lock-out' off.
The Help file actually alludes to this by saying 'go to the Permissions tab' of the object properties. But how do you get there? (try it for yourself!).

The Text object is no longer visible in the Organizer tree.
It is visible on the Page, but cannot be clicked-on nor selected. (which is 'okay' by design of the feature).
So you cannot get to its Properties dialogue directly.

[Edit:] As might be expected, the same above applies to Text Input objects. Vector objects do not have this problem.

Workaround: Select the containing object, the Frame in this case. Bring up the Properties dialogue AND THEN use the navigation arrows at the bottom of the dialogue box to locate the object (remember it is not seen in the Organizer). Goto first child, next child, etc.

3. A similar problem exists with Button objects. Does not even have to be Grouped or in a Frame.

Here's an earlier reference to a problem, but no mention of frame or group. viewtopic.php?t=3724&highlight=lock

The workaround is the ~same. Select the Page, or its Parent if you know it. And use the navigate arrows as above.

Note. I am now using OpusPro v7
