Demofred has just posted an idea for including PDFs in a previous topic.

However, if you don't need to try and hide them from the end user, then personally, I'd just include them in the same folder as the publication and use the option on the launch tab to set where the files will be found - SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR.

As for the other post, I'm not sure I understand the problem - you may need to post an example.

Do you mean I should let the use be able to launch adobe reader in order to see and print the images? Or simply to launch adobe then automatically print? :|

-----
What I mean with the master page dilemma:

I have a Masterpage which I use. It has all the print and buttons to print on it, including the base look and feel of the rest of the publication.

The page that has "Use Masterpage->masterpage1" ticked in their general page and now use this Masterpage, have nothing on them except a script which I use to change some numbers and the prints. The way I've included my prints is by adding a var printLesson1, then I added an Image object on the side of my page where it cannot be seen where I would add my image with browse->choose image, I simply use the var <printLesson1>
Now, in my publication itself, I add all my images in to the additional resources, and each one of them go by an Alias such as "printLes1CAPS" and so on.
On the script object I mentioned, I can change the image via the variable to the alias name of one of the images I added to the a.resources.
...It works fine and dandy when I print the stuff on the Masterpage when I try to test it, but when I launch the page that USES the Masterpage, it doesn't print the image that I called up it prints the whole page like a screenshot!

So my question is, is there a certain check-box that needs to be checked extra for the page to be able to print the images via the masterpage.. or is it just not possible? :(

Okay, I think the 'In Publication Directory' option doesn't do what it should :-?

Try the following:

1. use the browse button to locate the PDF.
2. remove the file path and just leave the file name.
3. Ensure that use associated application is selected.
4. Publish the application.
5. Copy the PDF to the same folder as the published application.

See screen shot.

This will launch Acrobat (or other program associated with .pdf) and automatically print the file using Acrobat.
