When some images need to be shown a number of times in a publication but at different sizes, is it better in the long term to:

1. Initially adjust every image to the correct size resulting in a lot of images in the resource folder and increased publication weight, or

2. Have one copy of each image in the folder but when a different size is needed when viewed, let Opus adjust the size - resulting in more working out by Opus.

If you use an image at several sizes within a publication it will only be included once at it's original size, to save space. In this case, provided you enable the Bilinear resample on the images so the quality is preserved, then it's easier to let Opus do the hard work for you (unless you are targeting very old and slow computers - which is probably a bad idea anyway!).
If you're animating those images and changing their size then the Bilinear resample will slow things down so you might want to use a specific image in those cases.
