I don't know if this has been brought up before, but I've noticed now scroll bars on text boxes can't be dragged if within frames.
So if I create a text box, add a right scroll bar it works fine. Create a frame and then copy the text box to it, the scroll bar can't be dragged.
Can someone else please confirm this.
Thanx

Ya, second that, and while someone is at it how about telling us if and how to change properties of the automatically insetrted scrollbars that come when using a long page size.

I'm afraid it is not possible to change the "style" of those scrollbars - they are standard Windows components that exist outside your publication (unlike the Opus versions which are drawn by Opus using styles specified by the user).

I cannot reproduce this in general use; however there does seem to be an issue if the frame is moved at runtime with actions. The scrollbar buttons work but the thumb does not.

The simplest way to work around this, until a better solution is available, is to design the page with the frame at the correct location and then use 0 duration actions to move it to wherever it should "start from" at the page start up. Then when it is moved into place all the scrolling will work correctly.

Thank you Duncan, I was afraid of that.

The reason I asked is that I thought that in my Presenter program there was a few options for at the very least turning the scrollbars on or off for over sized pages in the general publication area or somewhere like that. Couldn't find anything like that in the Opus pro.
Thanx again

Hi Evereddie,

I don't know if this is in Presenter, but have you ever tried using "Auto Scroll View" in Publication Properties > Windows Tab. It may be an option if you don't want scroll bars automatically added on long pages.

Thanx Steve. Ya Presenter has that and I see it in Opus Pro too. What I was hoping for was a way to keep the scroll bar but change it's color etc. Looks like not possible.

Hi Evereddie,

Can't you use frames with objects in it out off the page dimensions?
Then you can use the scroll bars and manipulate them.

See the attachment.

Kind regards,
