I was working on a multimedia for one company, and saved their presentation as brc01.imp, with a pub name of brc01.

The basis of this presentation was useful for a second company, so I resaved the publication as Eagle01.imp, with a pub name of Eagle.

But I notice in Opus, while working on the Eagle version, along the top bar it still says brc01 (see attached).

The pub name and saved file name are correct, and it's being published into the Eagle drectory... so where is it still getting this top bar info from?

Thanks, Linda

Linda

I can verify that I have been aware of this problem since about October 2005.

I regularly save copies of my pubs under different names mostly by appending v1 v2 etc. Sometimes I even make a complete name change because I feel that the newer name is more appropriate.

I have also found, without exception, that the name changes are not refelected in the title bar.

However, the correct name does appear in the bottom right of the status bar.

I can't say that I've ever noticed this in earlier versions of Opus, because I can't be sure that I have ever checked. And a minor change by adding v2 is easily missed. However it stands out if I make a change, as I did recently, from "Opus Tutorial" to "Basic Opus Reference".

It doesn't seem to do any harm, because as you say, checking the Pub Properties confirms that the names are as expected.

This now gives me a problem....

If someone using the presentation uses Ctrl-Tab to cycle through the programmes running, they see the old company name.

The customer has noticed this. They want to know why their presentation has a different company's name on it.

DW.... Please can you read through this thread again and suggest an answer?

Linda,

Please try the following:

Rename you publication by selecting the publication in the orginiser.

Once the name has changed use the save as from the file drop down menu and save to a new folder.

I have been testing this and this method seems to work fine for me every time.

Regards
