If I've got an On-show animation on a text box, then an action to show this text that says "Use this transition", not only does the text not show, but no further actions in the list work.

I appreciate that I don't want to "Use this transition" if I've got an on-show animation, but I often copy and paste one piece of text, and forget to clear all the settings.

It'd be kinder if the "On-show animation" setting could override the "Use this transition" setting!

Linda --

I had to re-read your post several times before I think I got what you were trying to point out.

Yes, you can't have BOTH a Text Object Transition AND an Animation. If you try it -- you'll get nothing. Neither one will work. It's one or the other -- not both. The only place I believe you can see "Use this Transition" is on a Timeline. I like having this option because you can set a "standard" Transition for a particular Object, then use a "special/different" Transition if you are using a Timeline. So an Object can "Fade On" normally, but I can make the same Object do a "Scroll Page" if I want (without having to create a second Object).

Am I clarifying your point?
