I've been on the Evolution programme for some time and it can be confusing because you never know what you are supposed to be receiving and I think it is probably just as confusing for the sales side of DW.

The idea is great - you receive the latest updates but in practise they never seem to arrive. I'm still waiting for the disc that others have mentioned above. I agree with the above writer - the best way is to get the latest updates along with everyone else when they are announced on this column.

there are some extra bits on the evolution version that are not in the standard service realease.. such as comments and a few quickbuild scripts check out the documentation for SR 1 Version 05.14

I guess it depends on your preferences. We opted in to the Evolution program for value of major upgrades over the two year period.
Minor updates (service packs, etc) are generally accessable to everyone.
Receiving CD updates seems like a waste of time to me. I've already updated online by the time I get it.
