 I'd hope Opus is a little less challenging than the Charge of Light Brigade.

Vectors and hotspots are based on the same basic object obviously but the latter are automatically only visible in the editor. So yes, you can duplicate the hotspot with a transparent vector but the hotspot has a visual cue in the editor which a transparent vector does not (hence the two tools).

At some point Flash decided it didn't like our vectors if there was no fill. If you need to create a hotspot of an outline, I'd certainly not recommend relying on the outline pen as a hit test anyway, far better to create the outline as a polygon (so a shape with a hole). That way it can be slightly overwidth too. Use the Connect Contours option to make the hole from two copies of the same object.

Or if you have Corel Draw, use the very useful "convert outline to object" in and then export as EMF to bring into Opus.

Just my two-pennyworth.

Paul

Thanks Paul,

Whilst I have your attention, can you confirm the situation regarding pause/resume audio in a flex pub???

Thanks

Pete

Ah shucks, and I'd just had a thought for verse two :-)

Code:
Flash to the right of them
Flash to the left of them
HTML5 in front of them
   Published and debugged;
Flanked by error and omission,
Boldly they code and well
Into the claws of Chrome,
Into the the fires of Fox
Rode the nine hundred and eighty five.
