I have to say that Opus' implementation of FLEX is nearly useless.
Flex has its limitations, but they are mostly well-documented. If you read the documentation and decide to continue and to ignore the limitations, well...
Several years back I tried to use Flex, and found that the SWF/HTML combination did not suite
my needs. However, I liked the ability of Flex to produce output that was pretty much platform independent, that is, the SWF files.
To overcome these problems, I acquired a wonderful little program called SWF2AVI. I create an Opus Flex pub and then convert it. Over the years this has successfully converted even very large SWF files to usable AVI files which work quite happily inside a standard Opus video object.
Most of my pubs are non-interactive, and I honestly cannot recall whether I have encountered problems with interactivity within the converted AVI files.
You might find it worth getting a copy of SWF2AVI and seeing what it does (doesn't
) do for you.
