Can Opus display text over a video clip in presentation mode?

Yes, providing you use the Rendered or Chroma option for the video - On Top won't work.
Chroma will be fastest but the text cannot anti-alias (or rather it will anti-alias against the chroma colour, which is basically black)
Rendered will look nicest - the text will anti-alias against the video, but will be correspondingly more processor intensive (possibly slower).
