With Opus 2.6 (and previous) I use to put a few images on a blank page, cover them with a frame, highlight the frame and click on 'Export Selected' on the 'File Menu'

This would be exported as a .bmp file and I would use .xat.com JPEG Optimizer ( or something similar) to convert it into a .jpg and have a smaller file size.

In 4.5 and 5.1, I find the exported frame is blank - but I have not done this for some time so may be doing something wrong.

When I export a full page containing an image covering the page, it works. What am I doing incorrectly?

Glenn

You were not 'covering them with a frame'.... you may have not seen it happening, but what you were really doing is putting the objects 'in' the frame. They have to be 'in' the frame for this to work with any version. I suspect the default layering or drop postiton is sightly diifferent causing it to act differetnly than in the old version. Look in your property list at the point just before you are ready to export, the objects should be under the frame as a subset.

Yes, what I have to do now is to highlight each image and right click to get 'Group' and then 'Group Objects as Frame' - which I never had to do before.

Many thanks

I didn't know you could do that! I always mess about setting the page size and then export the whole page ! You learn something every day..

You can also use the 'print frame' option when setting up print options for the end user. This way you can print selected objects on a page without prnting others. Notes, buttons, and other elements on a page can be left out of the printing and only the pertinent info needed by users will print.
