I've sent a program (started about 3 years ago!) compiled in 2.81 to Macrovision for copy protection, and they have a problem because - Duncan informs me - the player is compressed.

I need an uncompressed version of the 2.81 player as soon as possible, and it occurs to me that one may be lurking in some recess of the Opus community. If so, I'd very much like to receive it by email (preferably zipped).

It's unlikely, I know, but...

Silicon Realms adapted the Armadillo Pro copy protection system to work with standard Opus publications a few years ago. If you don't have any luck with Macrovision you could try them. They're now under new management, unfortunately, but I believe Armadillo Pro still works with Opus and they provide free custom builds to registered users so that your commercial releases are not encrypted with the standard publicly available version of Armadillo Pro.

Thanks, Andrew. I'll certainly bear that in mind if I get nowhere following the Macrovision route. Duncan is currently seeking a solution - but, as he says, "it's not a simple process to rebuild old releases of the code".
