I have placed several text boxes with bulleted text in a frame and have used the timeline to display the frame and the text box. Each text box is displayed using a Text Animation effect.

I have noted the following and wonder if this is an anomaly or bug. If the timeline to SHOW the frame overlaps with the first text box the Frame is not fully revealed using whatever transition and the text box never SHOWS if you place more time between the frame and text boxes the Frame is revealed and none of the Text boxes appear at all. If you take off the text animation and use a transition on the text boxes they appear fine. Any clues or ideas?

So you have actions within the timline to show both the frame and the text objects?

You can't show objects within the frame whilst the frame is still doing it's show transition. The parent (i.e. the frame) has to be visible before you can do anything to the objects within it. You could try moving the text objects out of the frame, but with them still on top of the frame.

I agree but even if the frame transitions completes then I SHOW the text objects they don't appear, they do appear if I remove the text animation and use transitions it works...I can also take them from within the frame and they work with text animations. I will use this work around.

Chris Jones and I are working on a "super PowerPoint" type presentation for a client using lots of single bullet points, each within its own Text Object. I'm using voice over narration for each Page. OPUS 05 XE has a Time Marker available in Preview, so I run the Presentation, and click the Time Marker whenever I need a bullet point to appear. I then edit the Timeline using the "Time Mark List" to establish the Show cue for each bullet.

OPUS 05 also has a new feature under "Attributes" whereby (without any Script) you can change the color of text within a Text Object. In PowerPoint it's called "dimming." I think it looks/works best if right after I Show the next bullet point, I use "Attributes -> Change Text Colour" to gray the previous bullet.

Take a look at this "dimming" feature. I think you'll want to use it in your presentations.
