Hello Everyone,

Would someone share some advice.
My problem is that I am creating a publication and it has hyperlinks
that need to launch Adobe Acrobat reader and open PDF files.
My problem is that I need it to find the files regardless of the clients
cd-rom drive letter.

<SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR> is not working for me.Any other

suggestions. or can anyone attach a small sample project file with one

hypertext I could publish and test. And from there I could look at the

hypertext settings and get a better understanding and troubleshoot

where I'm going wrong.

Hi,

Use the system variable <SYSTEM_CD_DRIVE> to prefix the path, which will automatically locate the user's first CD-ROM drive letter.

DCWMFX,

If the publication is running from the cd, I would use the <SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR> this will find the location the publication is running from and does not suffer if the cd is not in the first cd drive on the machine.
