Hi

I've been trying to create a multiple question quiz plus a score and feedback page using Opus XE 5.14 and publish it so it can be used in a PDA with a Pocket PC 2002 OS. When I use size the screen to 216X216 and publish a web publication (HTML plus player file), and move the file via Microsoft ActiveSync to the PDA, all I get is a dark blue screen: no questions, etc. The PDA Pocket PC 2002 OS uses a pocket pc version of IE (capable of resizing HTML pages to fit), which I had hoped would display the pub.

Has anyone had any experience creating a pub for a PDA using Pocket PC 2002 or more recent Pocket PC versions? If so, please let me know how.

If Opus is not currently able to publish in this format, I would encourage this feature for addition to a next version, since PDA's and cell phones with similar display capacity are widely in use.

Kind Regards,
Stephen

Opus does not support Pocket PC natively. If IE under Pocket PC 2002 supports plugins and a Flash player is available for it (there is one for 2003, but I can't see anything for 2002) then you could use the Flash export filetype to create material that would display.

Thanks, Duncan for your reply.

While a Flash player for Pocket PC 2002 did exist as a free download, I believe Macromedia withdrew it on October 3, 2005, apparently re-issuing a developer version for $499 (USD). Their website has further info.

Unfortunately, not knowing about this change, I didn't get a free copy in time a few days ago.

Kind Regards,
Stephen
