Hi

I'm new to creating a Flex publication in XE 5.14 and am trying to create a work-around to the inability to store data (except by web posting, which in this case can't be used). I have 2 quizzes, each of which produces a score that I would like to display side-by-side after both are taken by the viewer.

Is there any way to display the first score (I'm using the store score action for the first quiz and displaying with SCORE_VALUE, then using the reset score before repeating these actions for the second quiz) on a page that retains it so that the second score can be placed next to it for comparison? Once I reset, the first score is no longer available for display.

Thanks for any ideas.

Kind Regards,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,

First create some variables to store the scores of the first quiz.
The copy the scores of the variables to the new create variables.

Now you can use the reset button.

I attached an example.

Kind regards,

Hi Oscar

I'll take another look, but I thought that Flex publications can't store data in variables. When I've gone to the actions tab in a Flex publication, there is no storage action (write/read) available.

I wonder, though, if I can use Opus script to write, store and read variables in Flex(?).

Kind Regards,
Stephen

The Variable actions are in the Programming tab, not Actions - same as a normal Opus publication.

Thanks Oscar and Duncan.

I'll give it a try.
