On having just recieved my copy of XE this morning after such a long wait I am a bit unhappy to find that now having loaded it onto my computer it will not allow me to create a new publication, check out the new features or do anything else other than exit. All options to create are greyed out.

Anyone have any ideas how to correct this, Pro 04 is stil working ok.

Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry.

We have received no other reports of this issue, but this could possibly occur if Opus Pro XE encountered problems creating its default registry keys. Could you please try the following and let me know if the problem persists?

- Ensure that Opus Pro 04 and Opus Pro XE 04 are not running

- Click Start > All Programs > Opus Pro XE 04 to open the program group

- Position the cursor over the Opus Pro XE 04 application shortcut (but do not click)

- Position two fingers over the Ctrl and Alt keys in the bottom-left of the keyboard

- Left-click on the application shortcut to launch the program, then immediately depress the Ctrl and Alt keys simultaneously and keep them depressed

- A prompt should appear on-screen asking if you wish to clear the application registry settings. Click Yes

- Opus Pro 04 will now launch, but behave like a new installation (with the registration screen displayed)

- Simply skip the registration and select the option to Create a new, blank publication

You should now be able to use Opus Pro XE 04 without problems.

Please let me know if you have any further queries.

Kind regards,
