Hi

I have a simple problem but have spent too much time trying to solve it so am asking advice.

I have a schematic drawing of an aircraft. From this i want to be able to hotspot parts of the drawing so that when the mouse goes over it shows a thumbnail over the hotspot. The if the thumbnail is double clicked it shows the picture in full.

I can work out the hotspot stuff, but cant work out how to show a thumbnail then a full picture.

Can anyone help??

Hi kbundy

This one probably has a couple of solutions. Here is what I would do

I would draw the hotspot areas and hide the thumbnail images.

The thumbnail images properties would be to show for say five seconds and then hide again. This will allow the user to decide whether or not he or she wants to see the full image.

If the user clicks on the thumbnail, I would have an action that shows a page that has the full image on.

I would have a return to aircraft button so the user can return to the aircraft after viewing the full image.

If the user does not click on the thumbnail image, it will re-hide after trhe five second period and that way your screen won't get too cluttered.

Five seconds is only a suggestion. You mightfind that two seconds is enough.

That's something you'll have to play with. It would also be a great idea to get other people to play with your publication to make sure the time interval between thumbnail to clicking on it is sufficient.

Cheers

Graham
