Sorry if this is too elementary, but I am new to Opus.

All I want is a simple column of bullets that I can control with the mouse/space bar. I want the bullet point to appear when I click; and grey out when I next click (and the next bullet to appear).

In powerpoint I can do this without thinking - in Opus it appears to be a pain. Is there a simple way to do this apparently simple task?

I don't want to go back to Powerpoint as the interactivity in Opus is great and easy to apply - all except for this indispensable requirement!

I have tried using the template bullet points but thet do not seem to offer a way to grey out the used bullets - nor do they warn me when I have reached the last bullet - a click too far and I land on the next page!

I tried to acheive what I wanted this way but it is very laborious when compared with powerpoint which can do similar with a few clicks (or simple text import!). I notice that invariably the Opus presentations I have seen so far are generally excellent on presentation but very poor on content (the old web problem) is this because getting content into Opus presentations is more difficult than with other presentational programs.

I would like to use Opus as I think it has many advantages, however I do think that the presentational capability of the program can easily obscure the content.

Are there easier ways to achieve this effect?

First, I would make the whole page the trigger when you click on it with the mouse. This way you can just keep clicking and the points will advance. Then try looking in to the 'show in turn' and 'hide in turn'. You will have to make a set of text in half tranparency to get the faded out look.

Looks like you will need 3 sets of actions. A show in turn to show the bullet point, a hide in turn to turn off the previous bullet point and a show in turn to show the transparent bullet point.

Haven't done this but have similar things, seems like it should work.

Have you looked in the resources. Might be something ready to go. I am not at my Opus computer so I would look if I could.

Thank you, what you suggest works but with a time (cost) overhead. Therefore I have decided that to do what I want is too costly for a routine task where changes occur frequently. Therefore I will modify the pages to accomodate Opus and omit the 'greying' out mode - which seems to require several additional steps.

Many thanks
Martin
