Hi

I've been trying to set up a list box to simulate a drop down box containing a menu that the viewer can use to navigate to pub pages.

I've entered each page into the list box and created a hypertext with a Go To Page action for each.

I've set the list box properties to initially hidden and set a mouse over trigger for the list box with an action to show the list box and a mouse exit trigger to hide it. Can't get this to work. If I use a hotspot on top of the list box with these actions, it works. But the list box itself can't seem to accept these 2 actions (nor, additionally, transtions like reveal down or up that I would add to simulate a drop down effect).

Has anyone tried this to check if it works? Maybe I'm doing something incorrectly?

I would appreciate any help with this. I would rather not use a hotspot if possible.

Happy New Year! :)

Kind Regards,
Stephen

Hi

Oscar's earlier example to help create drop down menu's (see example in Forum) provides a solution. Thanks Oscar! :)

Kind Regards,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,

I use a slightly different solution using frames and buttons. Isn't this one of the best things about Opus, there is usually more than one way to do something :D

Hi David

Yes, Opus has great versatility. Superb software! :)

I'm almost always able to find a work-a-round in Opus to achieve a desired effect.

If you could, please share specifics (or post a brief example) of your solution, using frames and buttons. The Forum is a rich resource for finding solutions, which I regularly search when stuck.

Kind Regards,

Stephen

Hi David

Thanks for your reply and example. Quite ingenious! I hadn't thought about using frames this way.

Again, thanks.

Stephen
