Just a couple of things that have got me baffled...

(I am using Opus Pro 05 to create a stand-alone publication for distribution on CD-R for people to print out various pages of images.)

1. I can't find how to create an autorun file for my publication anywhere, and I'm sure it exists!

2. How do I replace the cover dialog with my own image? (at the moment it just comes up with the Opus logo whilst the pub is loading from CD)

3. I have added a simple fade transition from my 1st page to the 2nd in page properties - although when I preview and even when I burnt the publication onto disc it wasn't there - went back and checked the transition settings and they seem to be selected ok, but they arent there when I preview???

4. I know I mentioned this in my last post, but I'll add it here anyway - I have created a 1024 x 768 publication and selected the 'size to fit' option so that it will resize for people viewing it on a computer with 800 x 600 res - only it's not working!! I have run off a CD-R of the publication and tested it on a PC running XP with screen res of 800 x 600 and it doesn't resize - half of my screen is missing.

I would really appreciate some guidance, I can upload a copy of my publication if it helps - but I'm sure it's all quite straightforward.

Thanks,
Emma.

Hi Emma,

Questions 1 & 2

Both these options are available when you publish. In the General tab (the one that usually opens when you begin publishing) you'll see the options in the lower half of the window: Cover Dialog (this will be set to default just change it and find your own), Options make sure that Create Autorun.inf file is ticked.

Could you give some more details of Q3 & 4?

David

Emma

The Autorun file is created when you publish your program. (see screenshot)

The Cover dialog is also created when you publish. (see screenshot)

Create your own 267 x 108 image and select it using the Custom option.

It's hard to say why your transition and resized is not working. I suggest you post an example for someone to look at.

I'll try and publish and see if I can sort out the autorun and cover dialog - thanks!

Re question 3. I have fixed the problem (silly mistake) I had accidentally checked the hide transition button on the tool bar! oops.

I'll try in a minute to post an example for someone to take a look at cause I'm still having probs re. re-sizing.

Thanks for you help.

Have managed to sort out the autorun and cover dialog - thanks.

I am trying to upload a page (or 2) from my publication for someone to have a look at on this forum to heolp me sort out the re-sizing issue. How do I do this - do I just export a page from Opus as a bitmap?

Hi Emma,

It is best to create a small sample publication that replicates your problem. You can upload the IMP file to this forum in its native IMP format, or zip it up as a ZIP file if the publication is large or has to have resources. When you are using the forum, you will need to "log in" if you wish to have file attaches seen.

When you have typed out your message ready to post here, you will note the Preview and Submit buttons. You should also see an Attachment button, click on it and it will then let you upload your file.

RE: your Page fade transitions and Resizing problem....

Please have a look at the attached IMP I have mocked up for you. Both features are working, so check it compared to what you have done. ;)

Hope this helps!
