I am using Creator 5.5. I have placed a MIDI file of Greensleeves which is accessed by clicking on a hyperlink. It plays beautifully except that it cuts out just before the end so I lose the last note or two. The same file does not do this in an old version of Mediator so I can't think it's the file. Has anyone else come across this problem.

Frank

Hi Frank

I don;t have Creator 5.5 and so I may be a bit off here but two thoughts.

Are you sure you don't have the midi file set to fade out towards the end of the piece? (Check the play sound properties and look at the settings)

Or

Is there another action commencing before the midi file has finished. You may have an option in the midi properties whereby you can tick "wait until sound has finished before next action".

It does not make sense to cut short because the midi file consists of data that is played by the computer from beginning to end. How Creator would cut it short by a few notes at the end is weird to say the least.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Graham

No, Graham, I've checked that and there is no fade set.

It's not that either. What is even more weird is that the same file does the same thing in Headstart Pro.

However, I've re-written the midi file and it seems to work now so it must have been the midi - strange 'cause it's only in Opus that it goes wrong. Ah Well!
