I had set up the hyper text font to match our corporate colors better in a publication. I have used the same style in several publications no problem. I recently upgraded to Opus Pro XE 5 and now all of the hyperlins changed font. I went in to the the text effect styles to edit it back only to find out it is set ok it just doesn't display ok. In other words the font is set for Comic Sans but in the preview box the text does not look anything link comic sans. The attachement shows you what I am seeing. Any ideas?
Thanks

Dave
Are the other fonts OK?
I'm wondering if it only a problem with your Comic Sans font or are there other fonts that do not display correctly?
Also can you remember what version of Opus you originally created the hypertext in? If so, I could recreate and test on my computer to see whether it is a global problem or just a problem that appears to be specific to your machine.
Cheers
Graham

Thanks for the response. I upgraded from Opus Pro 04. I have not seen a problem with other fonts. In addition, if I create new text using the Comic sans font it works. It is just the comic sans carried over from before (specifically, in the custom set up of hypertext). I hope that answers your question. I look forward to any help you can offer.

Dave

Hi again Dave

I created the attached publication in Opus Pro version 4.30.

Try opening it with Opus 5 and see if there is a font problem at your end.

I opened it on my machine and found there there is not a problem with comic sans.

I understand some forum members have had problems importing very large publications. Can you advise the size of your publication.

Also, I have pm'd my email address to you. If you like you can email your publication to me and I'll see if I have a problem with the comic sans font.

Cheers

Graham

Magically the problem has gone away! All I did was shut down last night and restart today and everything is as it should be. Apparently something got messed up on my machine and restarting reset it. A little bizzare but hopefully it wont reapear.

Thanks for helping
Dave

Hello Graham,

Glad your solution worked well.

Most of the time I have that kind of problem, I start sleeping a night.
In 80% of the cases this helps. So I have enough time to search for a solution for 20% of the problems which won't disappear by sleeping.
