Hi

I'm working on a project using XE 5.5 and am trying to set up an animation for some drag and drop vector objects (small dots). The goal is to have each dot flash/pulse upon mouse over and stop flashing/pulsing once either the mouse exits and/or the item is dropped in the drop zone. I've used the animation wizard to get started, then changing the trigger from OnShow to MouseOver, etc. The drop zone allows dropped objects to be moved after being dropped. I've set the transition time as .2 or .3 of a second to create the falshing/pulsing effect.

This works OK except once in the drop zone, if the mouse is exited and then re-positioned over the dot a few times the dot fades each time and finally disappears. :?

Has anyone had this happen? Is there a remedy I'm missing? Is there any other way to get the dots to flash/pulse on mouse over and stop when the mouse exits or the dot is dropped?

Any help is appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Stephen

Hello Stephen,

I just built an example with a fade on mouseover and a stop fading on mouse exit. One animation using actions and one animation using script. After stopping the animation I reset the animation. So it always will return to it's original state.

See the attached example.

I'm not sure this is what you're looking for, but I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Thanks, Oscar.

This example is quite helpful. I tried it out with a drag and drop feature, and it continues to work fine. I appreciate your assistance.

Kind Regards,
Stephen
