Is it possible to stream audio in a flex publication.

I've built a simple website (6 pages)and I like users to be able to select from a choice of mp3 songs. I see that it is possible to use the resource manager to place the songs in the publication directory in place of enbedding them in the ilm file. I've done this an ticked the copy when uploading and keep filename options. However when I publish the site the final size over 20MB for all the files. This results in a huge .swf file and a very long download time.

I wanted to keep to the flex option so that viewers did not have to download the plexus plug-in and ensure Mac users could view it too.

Am I just missing the point .

You cannot link to external files when publishing to the web; the option in Opus is only there for standalone production.

Flash will try to stream were ever possible, but if you have all 3 audio files on the same page, it is likely that Flash will load the whole page before displaying it. You may be better of creating 3 publications and then load the appropriate one after the music selection is made that way you should reduce the download size by 66%.
